...EIGHTEEN MONTHS....ONE AND A HALF YEARS...why can't you slow down Madison?! Honestly there are days where I just look at her and she is such a little grown up, as in not my baby anymore, sigh.
Madison continues to grow and learn and keep us laughing. She is in size 18-24 month clothes, size 6.5 shoes and we are about to transition her into size 5 diapers. Her latest saying is "Be happy" which would put a smile on anyones faces. Her daddy also taught her how to pound it and high five which keeps him entertained!
Madison is a bundle of energy which has been interesting now that we live in a townhome as we have to remind ourselves to get her out and about running around in the fresh air and not just going up and down the stairs to get to her room and then her toys in the basement.
This month Mr Soldier bought her a soccer net which was totally to indulge himself but she has got involved once or twice.
Apart from playing outside she has a new love for Sesame St. With her destructive behaviour such as pulling every ornament off the Christmas tree or opening every drawer in her dresser and emptying her clothes everywhere I became "that Mum" that distracts her with musical DVDs so that I can fold laundry in peace!
Madison talks all day long in her jibber jabber language but she understands exactly what we are saying, whether she selectively chooses to listen or not!
Mr Soldier and I are loving every minute with her and had to laugh the other night when we put her to bed and then sat down to dinner together and both of us admitted to having the song "ladybug picnic" in our heads!
Happy 18 months Miss Madison <3
